The MUSÉE flagship store is not just a space for commerce but a personal luxury museum tailored for the discerning urban woman. The design concept, inspired by the cyclical nature of fashion and a commitment to sustainability, features a continuous wood band framework that exudes warmth and timelessness. This foundation is the canvas for innovative display systems and art experiences, enriched by 3D-printed woven textures and stainless steel metal art walls, all stemming from a modular loop system.
Spanning 156 sqm with a 4.2-meter ceiling height, the store's design capitalizes on its spatial dimensions to create an immersive shopping environment. The innovative use of a modular loop system not only provides flexibility in product display but also ensures a dynamic customer experience. The integration of 3D-printed elements and the tactile interplay of materials reflect the store's futuristic approach to retail design.
AntiStatics Architecture's team, led by Mo Zheng and Martin Miller, alongside Wenlin Bai, Dhaga Aman, Christopher Beckett, CiCi Xi, and Tracy Qiu, meticulously crafted each element of the store. Their collective expertise is evident in the seamless fusion of technology and traditional materials, creating a space that invites interaction and discovery.
From the initial design in May 2023 to the construction completion in October 2023, the project is a testament to the brand's ethos. Research into MUSÉE's identity and dedication to pre-owned luxury items guided the design process, ensuring the space resonates with the brand's sustainable vision. The store's continuous loop system, a result of extensive prototyping and innovation, overcame creative and technical challenges, setting a new standard in luxury retail design.
With its Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2024, the MUSÉE flagship store stands as a beacon of design excellence. It is a space where sustainability meets luxury, and where customers can engage with the future of fashion in an environment that celebrates the brand's innovative spirit and commitment to the planet.
